Pamela Anderson: ‘Vegans Make Better Lovers’

Known for her huge heart for animals, Baywatch icon and PETA US honorary director Pamela Anderson stars in a new Valentine’s Day campaign for PETA US, which points out that the sexiest quality of all is compassion.

To mark the campaign’s launch, the ad is on display on a giant 315-square-metre corner wrap billboard in New York City’s Times Square.

“I believe that having a big heart is the sexiest thing in the world. And a whopping 67% of people report a boost in bedroom performance after going vegan.” – Pamela Anderson

Vegans Have Higher Sex Drives

Many vegan foods boost circulation – including to the brain, which has a positive effect on the libido. Eating these foods actually improves circulation to all parts of the body, so we have a much higher chance of getting the results we’re looking for in the bedroom. It’s simple: increased circulation = better physical response = better sex.

Vegans Are Happier

A study conducted in 2012 showed that ditching meat and dairy can lead to a natural increase in serotonin levels, greatly improving our mood. Other research has even shown that vegans have lower instances of depression and anxiety than meat-eaters do and are more likely to be optimistic about the future.

Being happier doesn’t just make us more attractive to potential suitors – it also means we feel better about ourselves. There’s no better aphrodisiac than confidence, and the happiness that comes from going vegan is just what’s needed to get busy between the sheets.

Vegans Smell (and Taste) Better

One of the wonderful effects that going vegan has on our bodies is changing the way we smell and taste – and all for the better. A 2006 study on body odour found that people who eat plant-based smelled significantly better than those eating meat, while some people say that when men eat vegan meals packed with fruits and veggies, their semen tastes sweeter.

So throw out your most entrancing perfume, aftershave, or body wash and swap it for a vegan lifestyle – although we do recommend that you always stay on top of your hygiene, especially before getting frisky!

Vegans Last Longer

Consuming low-fat vegan meals can help combat the most common causes of impotence: high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, prostate cancer or inflammation, and hormonal imbalances. A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggests that men who couple regular exercise with a diet rich in flavonoids, found in fruits like strawberries, blueberries, and apples, may reduce their risk of developing erectile dysfunction by over 20%.

The key to a hot, long-lasting love life is to start in the kitchen with delicious vegan meals.
