Animals Are Not Ours to Eat
Our appetite for meat, dairy products, fish and eggs comes at the cost of billions of innocent lives and unimaginable suffering.
Farmed animals have feelings, thoughts and personalities, just as we do, yet the livestock industry treats them like machines, with cruelty that's hard to swallow. Chickens, pigs and cows are mutilated, dosed with drugs and crammed by the thousands into filthy windowless sheds. Fish are dragged from the water and die slowly, gasping for air. And the industries that exploit animals' reproductive systems for dairy products and eggs have millions of forgotten victims: male offspring are killed while they're still infants, and their mothers lead short, unhappy lives until they, too, are sent to slaughter.
Humans don't need to eat animals to live – in fact, we're healthier if we don't! Time and time again, it's been demonstrated that a plant-based diet is better for us and for the environment – and for our consciences.
