From sandwiches in high-street stores to plant-based options in the supermarket freezer, here’s what’s new for the vegan market this spring.
Even more plant-based options are launching UK-wide at Pret, including two veggie boxes, a super-veg salad, a rainbow flatbread, and a golden turmeric latte. The chain has also just opened a new Veggie Pret store in Shoreditch, which is offering dairy-free mac ‘n’ cheese and a vegan brownie – yum!
Supermarket giant Tesco has discontinued some of its older dairy-free offerings and is instead launching a whole new selection of “free from” cheeses. Exciting products include blue cheese, Red Leicester slices, and jalapeño chilli cheddar.
ASDA Meat-Free Popcorn Chicken
Vegans have spotted this bag of meat-free popcorn chicken in ASDA freezers, so keep an eye out at your local store.
Linda McCartney’s vegan scampi was released in March and is available at Tesco.
