Watch Now: Will This Video Narrated by Italian Superstar Elisabetta Canalis Change Your Mind About Exotic Skins?

Longtime animal advocate and superstar Elisabetta Canalis has once again teamed up with PETA – this time to urge fashion-lovers and designers at Milan Fashion Week to stop buying products made from the skins of exotic animals.

Would this brand-new video change your mind about this cruel trade?

Animals are routinely skinned, repeatedly stabbed, and decapitated while they are still alive – all to create bags, shoes, belts, and other accessories for fashion brands that include Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Armani, and Hermès.

“Still think those shoes are worth this torture? There is nothing luxurious about exotic skins. Fashion is about creativity, not cruelty. So choose to be kind and keep exotic skins out of your wardrobe.”

– Elisabetta Canalis

Crocodiles, Lizards, and Alligators Deserve Better

A PETA Asia investigation shows workers in slaughterhouses that supply luxury fashion brands electroshocking crocodiles and driving nails into snakes’ heads while they’re still conscious, and a PETA US investigation exposed that metal rods are shoved into live alligators’ heads in an attempt to scramble their brains.

A video exposé also revealed workers at a farm that supplies Gucci throwing around live lizards, striking them with machetes, and making multiple attempts to behead these animals.

Vegan Fashion Is the Future

Forward-thinking companies are meeting the growing demand for sustainable, animal-friendly products by offering vegan leather options made from pineapples, mushrooms, apples, cacti, and more. Brands such as Mulberry, Chanel, Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, Burberry, HUGO BOSS, Vivienne Westwood, and Calvin Klein are all free from exotic skins.

Join PETA’s campaign – urge Hermès, LVMH (the owner of Louis Vuitton), Armani, Gucci, and Prada to say no to this cruelty.
