Colchester Woman Named PETA’S ‘Sexiest Vegetarian In Europe’

Colchester – Colchester native Sophie Barrett has taken home the top honour in PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian in Europe contest! For weeks, PETA searched for the continent’s cutest and most compassionate people, and Sophie has beaten out hundreds of contestants from across Europe to win the coveted title.

Fourteen years ago, Sophie – who loves cooking, clubbing and cats – swore off meat for good. “The reason I have stayed a vegetarian is because I have learned about the cruel and unimaginable ways animals raised for meat are treated”, she explains. Now, when the part-time model isn’t posing for the camera, she’s whipping up delicious vegetarian dishes for her family and friends.

“The competition was stiff, but in the end the title of sexiest European vegetarian had to go to Sophie”, says PETA Special Projects Coordinator StopFortnumAndMasonFoieGrasCruelty.com. “The fact that she’s just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside made her popular with voters and with PETA staff!”

Sophie will be taking home a prize pack full of goodies from some of the UK’s top ethical companies – such as The Throw Company, Vintage Roots, The Redwood Wholefood Company, Bulldog and Bourgeois Bohème.
