Domino’s Launches Vegan Cheese in Australia, and We Want UK Stores to Follow

Domino’s has just announced it’ll offer dairy-free cheese as well as three special vegan topping combos at over 600 locations in Australia.

This victory for Australian pizza lovers follows a survey on the company’s Facebook page late last year to test demand across the country. Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight explained the move:

We were blown away by the response to the survey and for this product in general … At Domino’s we pride ourselves on our “people-powered pizza” mantra and listen to what our customers want.

He acknowledged that the “popularity of, and demand for, vegan products has increased considerably over the years.” This is yet another sign that people are fed up with the cruel dairy industry, which tears calves away from their mothers and exploits cows until their bodies are exhausted by a lifetime of abuse.

Vegan Cheese

We saw an incredible response to our Vegan Cheese petition, and Australia, we heard you. Our creamy, 100% dairy-free Vegan Mozzarella Cheese has officially hit Domino's! Available to add to any pizza for $2.95, or to order as one of our 3 new Vegan specialty pizzas. To celebrate, we're offering the new Vegan Avocado Veg from just $9.95* pick up!*Limited time only. Surcharge applies on Sundays and Public Holidays. Delivery minimum $22.

Pizza Express, Zizzi, and Pizza Hut already provide vegan cheese in their restaurants across the UK, but so far, no national chain offers it for delivery.

Let Domino’s know we want it to add vegan cheese pizza to its UK menu by sending the company a tweet:
