You Me At Six Tells Fans ‘Breeders Kill Shelter Dogs’ Chances’

With the release of their new album Sinners Never Sleep we wanted to show you the ad that You Me At Six starred in for peta2, a great pro-adoption ad with the band. You can check out an interview with the band members here.

The ad highlights the thousands of unwanted dogs – and cats – who end up in shelters and refuges every year and how many of them must be euthanised because there simply aren’t enough good homes for them and because life in a small cage is no life at all. The band wants to let their fans know that buying an animal from a pet store or breeder robs a homeless animal of his or her chance at adoption and encourages sellers to breed even more pedigree animals. Please take a moment to admire the stunningly handsome pup who is the star of the ad – that’s my boy, Zack, whom I adopted from a shelter in Edinburgh seven years ago!
